ALBANY AGRICULTURE SHOW Albany

Orchid Society will be involved in the 2023 Albany Agricultural Show. The show is on Friday 9 th and Saturday 10th November and runs from 9am to 5.00pm, Ron will be setting up on Thursday 8th from 1.00pm. As in previous years, we will require entry passes to get into the show grounds, Arthur Gorman is organising these and a parking bay for Ron. As usual, when volunteers are heading towards the gate they can call Ron or Lynda and they will arrange for someone to meet them at the gate with a pass. This year we are not being charged for our display area, where as in previous years the club has been charged a fee. We can sell orchids there as well as have a display of our orchids, for the public to view and ask questions. There will be a roster drawn up for members to fill in to help with looking after the tables during the show, and speaking with the public as well as setting up on Thursday afternoon and taking down of the tables on the Saturday. We will need to be there from 8.30 am until 5.00pm each day. Those members who were involved last year had a lot of fun being there; hopefully you will be able to spend some time helping to promote our wonderful club.

AOS CHRISTMAS LUNCH

Our Christmas lunch will be held at the Premier Hotel on Sunday 19th November at Midday. The trophies and awards from both the winter and spring shows will be presented at the lunch. We will be seated in the upstairs dining room; when you get to the hotel you can order and pay for your meals and drinks downstairs then get the lift up to the dining room. We have the dining room booked exclusively for AOS members. Here is a link to the Premier Hotel’s menu to copy and paste into your google search bar. https://premierhotelalbany.com.au/food-drinks/
