Plastic Trays
Diedre has asked if we could all keep the small ( about 500g), deep containers that mushrooms etc. are sold in please, these are used as carry trays for the sprays we sell at our shows, they can be brought along to any meeting.
Christmas Dinner
A show of hands voted for us to have our Christmas Dinner at the Bridge Club on the 27th November before the meeting, the meal will begin at 12 pm, could every one please bring a plate to share – to this end, could everyone please let Shirley know what they are bringing ? Murray Montgomery will be approached to present our Awards and Julie has kindly volunteered to assist him.
Thank You
A big Thank You to Kara Matters, who donated a lot of plants to those at the meeting as she is leaving to go to Victoria and can’t take her plants with her, she was given a card wishing her Good Luck. We hope we’ll see you again some time in the future.
Competition Plants
The winner of 3 raffle tickets for this months most improved competition plant was Gail, congratulations.
Judges Vote
Earlier this year a motion was passed to award a “Judges Vote” for the best plant presented for Benching at our monthly meetings. While this was a great idea, Julie has informed us that it isn’t really working at our club as we don’t have a large membership and she doesn’t think it’s fair for her to award the prize to herself (as more often or not, she has the best plant there) so as from next year this award will not be presented. This month’s winner was Gail for her Cattleya Unknown, Congratulations.
