Friday the 10th March at Zhivago’s at North Road Shopping Centre at 10 am.
Potting Morning
There will be a potting morning at Ron Panting’s place at 4 Bronte St on the 9thMarch at 10am
Committee Meeting
The next committee meeting will be held on Friday the 14thApril 2023 at 1.30 at Vancouver Café.
General Business
Presentation
A very informative presentation was given by Norm Martin, he went through how the Orchid of the Year isrun, he also gave us somemore ideas for us to keep our plants hydrated over summer and also mentionedhow he deflasks new orchids. Thank you Norm.
Term Deposit
Glen reported that the term deposit matures on the 2ndMarch this year and the plan is o re-invest it for 12-1 8 monthsafter the 7thMarch after interest rates have increased.
Easter Raffle / Display
The Easter Display and raffle will be held for one day only on the 1stApril at North Road Shopping Centre.There will be a roster at the next meeting, please write your name in for when it is convenient for you toman the tables, thank you.
AGM
The annualAGMof the Orchid society will be held at the next meeting with the election of office bearersfollowed by a short meeting
Competition Plants
There were quite a few plantsbrought in to be assessed this month, the winner with the most developedplant was Julie, congratulations.
Benching Results
The winner of the Open sectionwas Julie for which she got 3 raffle tickets , Congratulations.
Most popular vote in the Open Sectionwent to Julie for her Phaleanopsis Unknown Congratulations
Raffle
The winners of the raffle this month were Di Frances and Norm Martin. Congratulations.
Door Prize
The winner of the Door Prize this month was Deidre Congratulations.
