Glen is still trying to contact Simon who designed our website to make some changes, but isn’t havingmuch luck, he has a new lead on how to contact him, so will continue trying.Julie menetioned that someother clubs have put their websites up on Facebook,the possibility of us doing this will be discussed if Glencan get hold of Simon.
Term Deposit
Glen reportedthat $12,000 was deposited on the 2ndDecember for 3 months, it is due to mature on the2ndMarch this year, he suggested that as interest rates are going to increase shortly after this, that wewait to see what the new rate is like before re-investing it for 12 months.
Easter Raffle / Display
Avote was held to decide if the Members wanted to hold a Raffle / Display this year, there were 3 votes infavour and 8 votes against, so there will be no raffle this year.
Mother’s Day Display
Future of this is to be decided at a meeting closer to the day.
Clarence Estate Visit
This was discussed with a majority of members in favourof holding it this year, details are to beforthcoming at a later meeting.
Competition Plants
Diedre has asked if more members could bring in their competition plants for assessment please as thereweren’t many presented this month.
Afternoon Tea
Mary is going to retire as our Afternoon Tea Lady, Is there anyone in the club who is willing to take over forher please? It isn’t too arduous a job and there is a yearly stipend tocover the costs.
